I think you would be much better off pulling the engine to replace the the oil pan, as the cross member of the truck will not allow enough room to drop the pan. Plus you would get a much better seal on the oil pan to engine, and replacing the parts removed would be a ton easier with the engine out on a stand.

motor is 1000 lbs, a cheap stand might bend
Some cut the cross member out to do the pan, some lift the motor up high until turbo hits but if you get one drop of oil in the seal area and it will leak. I hear the oil pump pickup is fun to deal with up in the air. prepare to spend a few days of letting it drip all the oil out. some use brake cleaner to remove the oil inside the engine
