Window Tinting - Baked into the deal...

I ordered a Black Platinum long bed and I have the front driver and passenger side windows getting tinted before I pick it up as part of the deal. They said they could have it done for $100. No idea if that's a good price or not, it's been well over 15 years since I have had any done.

What I originally asked for was just for the front to match the tint of the back. But my salesman is suggesting to go darker. I think he said the rear comes with 30% and he is telling me that if I go with 15% on the front it will all blend in and make the rear "appear" darker as well.

I don't know if this guy knows what he's talking about or not and hoping for some good advice from you guys so I don't make a bad decision. On the surface it sounds a little iffy to me.

Are fronts legal to tint that dark in your state? Here, it's a recipe for a ticket and failed annual inspection. I used to do it anyway but got tired of the games. If you are going to do it, have it match and not go darker.

That's a good point, I need to look into that to see what % is legal. Thanks for the feedback.

I would rather have too light than too dark. It can be frustrating to drive in heavy traffic at night with windows that are too dark.
