Finally, Pictures of my new 55 F-350!

Very nice truck Abe, congratulations on obtaining it. Hopefully it eases the pain of separation from your '54. If you ever need a garage to park it in and the urge to make a cross country trip, let me know. I wouldn't even charge for storage, just leave the keys in case I need to, um, move it!

On Sunday I took off the homemade red sideboards that are about 25" high. The boards must be old old boards sawed at a local saw mill. They are rough cut. One of them measures14"! I took off the "tailgate". It was attached by hinges and held in place by a heavy chain that ran through old hooped hardware.
Today I bought two 2 x 8-10' boards to make smaller side racks, just high enough to hold in my mower, blower and weed eater. I want to replace the headboard. I'd like to make it so that it is just below the rear window. Not sure what to make it out of though, perhaps some 5/4 x 6 treated deck boards?
The bed floor boards are in bad shape. I am notnsure if I will replace them soon and put bed strips between them or just screw a 1/4 inch plywood over them for now. I should have bought that script bed for $800 I told you guys about several months ago!
Sorry no pictures, maybe later. I owe you guys some pics of the engine bay and more of the interior.
I am happy with the truck. The Yblock really rumbles nicely. It reminds me of the sound my 54 made when my Grandfather had it. I think the reason is the 55's tailpipe ends just behind the cab. The tailpipe on my 54 now exits in front of the right rear wheel.

My rear end has a 5.83 ratio. I was pleased how my truck drove. I kept it at 50 to 55. Your 5.14 should do just fine.

Things I have found out about the F350:
The cab doesn't leak! We have had a lot of rain lately, no leaks
In have electric wipers.
The heater and defroster works good. Driving around in the cold damp weather today I needed it!
The hood closes easily and does not pop up in the rear! Amazing!
The 4-ways do not work with key not on. They should of course.
Some bed boards are rotted.
