Radio quit after battery change

Hi guys. I just changed my batteries in my truck. Twas the originals still in it. Afterwards, everything works except the radio. I tried everything and no radio. The clock is there when I press the On/Off/Volume. When I press the phone, the display says "no phone". But otherwise I get nothing. I can't even get in the menu to set the clock. I checked the fuses related to the Amp, Subwoofer, radio, Satellite, etc. I did not see anything in the fused under the hood that could be related. Any ideas?

The clock working tells you that you have power. My only suggestion is to turn it on, pull the fuse, then put the fuse back in, maybe force a reboot.

My sons' car had the same problem, it's an anti theft thing. I think he had to provide the dealer with the vin, with that info the dealer could provide some kind of code. Don't really remember, lots of years ago, buts an anti theft thing. Gotta contact the dealer.

I checked all fuses. All good. Thanks Stuart. John, I called the dealer today, and got the standard answer...I have to bring it in. Which I probably will this weekend. But i did decide to hook up my Forscan tool and see what it would say. I got the following code:
U0253 - Lost communication with accessory protocol interface module.

So, yeah. Sounds like it's related. Any ideas before I take it in??

I would unhook the batts again and let it sit for a bit, than re hook in hopes that it might 'find' that module.

I will try that tonight, and be ready to call the dealer for an appointment. Thanks.

Dude...good call. I got out there finally, and disconnected the batteries, let 'er sit, reconnected, and voila! Radio again. Had to reprogram everything, but that is expected. Thanks!
