Hey guys.

Been a while but I'm at the point of welding in the cross members etc. When I measured my original frame from the front to the centerline and I measure 36 1/2".

Does that seem about right with the measurements you have used when installing your cross member?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What year truck are you working on? Looks like you are building a whole new frame.

It's a 56 f100. I was going to put the cross member at 36" on center. Will be using a strut control arm

Looks like really nice work, but I can't help you. Mine is a '52. Someone here I am sure can though...

I'm probably just going to tack the cross member in place so I can adjust it later if needed.

I can't tell from the picture but if that is where the rear of trans mounts you may want to bolt it in place from the bottom so that you can service the clutch or remove the trans from the bottom without having to cut your welds once the cab is in place.

Mine is the front cross member.

Was also going to do a bolt in for the tranny though.
