wiring harness

so i've been looking through some threads and classifieds here and ended up with more questions than answers. before i sent my parts truck to the scrapper i pulled the wiring harness from the firewall back for use on my truck as my original wiring was bubbafied so my question is should the wiring harness from a 74 camper special work on my 74 high boy? any thoughts or info is appreciated.

should be the same as long as both had single fuel tanks. when i replaced my inside cab harness 20 years ago the only difference i saw then was the trucks without two tanks did not have the connector at the a/c control for swapping tanks. i had to find a dual tank truck for my exact harness.i cannot remember this part but i believe the single tank trucks had an empty slot in fuse box also.everything else was identical

Check the fuse box. Whatever is in the truck now should match what you are putting in. I checked and if there is any differences the fuse box will tell you, if you are missing the connections fuse clips in the new harness and they are there in the old harness they will not be plug and play. Ford is good about having everything plug and play except dual gas tanks for some reason.

I only took from the connector in the engine bay back and the parts truck is long gone so no way to compare fuse blocks......
