tailgate stuck. liner blocking panel
So my tailgate handle broke and I have a duraliner bedliner. The kind where it seems to be held on by tabs and snaps in place. I am not totally sure on how the liner is held in but thats what is seems like. So with tailgate stuck up I can not remove the liner covering the access panel. Any suggestions on how to remove the liner? Or am I going to need to cut the liner to gain access?
Thank you!
Thank you!

The tailgate cover should have used some of the bolts that hold the tailgate access panel on (torx?). Remove the bolts & pull the cover straight up till it clears the upper edge of tailgate then push the middle in towards middle of the truck bed & it should slip past the inner bed quarters. Then remove the tailgate access panel to get to rods to open tailgate and repair.

Mine did the same thing. It was a long time ago and don't remember what I did. I think I used a flat pry bar or 2 and stuck it under the lip of the liner at the top of the tail gate and pried it over the top and then used a couple blocks of wood to hold the liner away from the tail gate so I could get a torx socket and ratchet in there and undo all the screws.
I don't care about my paint, but you may care about yours so you'll have to be care about scratching the paint
