Wiring backup camera on F350

I have a 2013 F350 and want to wire a backup camera for my fifth wheel. I have auxiliary switches already hot when ignition in run position. Can I just connect power wire (red) from back up camera monitor to one of the 4 blunt wires tied to aux switches for power or do I have to mess with other wires going under hood?

Also, what is the best way to route wires to back of the truck bed on bumper area?

Looking at same same.

I have a backup camera in my tailgate OEM and then I added one that sits on top my 3rd brake light, it pulls off the juice there, but I WiFi to my screen in the truck. I use a monitor that can accept multiple inputs so I can switch cameras easy.

I am looking now at cameras to fit on my 5iver

I mounted a camera on my across the bed tool box that I have aimed at my 5th wheel hitch for backing and hitching to our 5th wheel. The monitor is a fold down model that is mounted on top of the the housing behind the steering wheel. Both the monitor and camera are hooked up to one of the Upfitter switches.

The wiring was an easy run coming into the cab in the back wall through the cab vent then down down to the door step plate plastic covers then up under the dashboard area for connections.

A simple flip of the Upfitter switch and I have a great view of the hitch when needed. If the hitch is not installed I can also use the camera to check cargo in the bed of the truck.

I also hooked this same Upfitter switch to the back up lights on my Ranch hand headache rack. This gives me the ability to light up the bed of my truck is so needed or required.

My camera system was ordered from Amazon for under $45 complete delivered.

Good luck with yours,

I have a 2008 Ford F350. The backup camera system I purchased at Amazon for has a monitor that has a blue wire in the harness that plugs into the monitor. The papers that came with the system calls this wire the backup activation wire. This system is wireless. I want to hook it up like mentioned above to come on when I turn on my Upfitter switch. Can I just hook the blue wire to the upfitter switch that i plan on running the power wire to the monitor on or does it need to be on it's on upfitter switch? The wireless receiver and monitor will be put on the same upfitter along with the wireless transmitter at the camera so that one upfitter turns all of it on at one time. The blue wire has me puzzled where to power it from.
