1950 F-1 ORIGINAL Radiators.....

I am looking for information on original radiators.

I have to assume that they have a "notch" on the bottom to accommodate a hand crank correct? Reproductions don't seem to have this design feature.

How about sizes? Everything else on my truck seems to indicate it was a work truck with some upgraded options. How do I identify a "heavy duty" radiator?

Anybody have some pictures of their "as delivered" stock radiator.

I searched the archives for a while but didn't see this addressed.

Thanks.

You are right, there is an arch in the bottom of the radiators. Do you need a radiator for a six or eight cylinder?

8.

Is there a difference with the "heavy duty" setup in '50?

Yes, at least for the 226, there was a standard radiator and then a heavy duty. I have one of each and they have different part numbers on the back.

Look in thru the fill opening. If there are 3 rows of tubes, it's a standard. HD will be 4 rows.
