A great tool, inexpensive bore scope

I recently purchased this tool, from eBay, to be able to checkcylinder bores without removing the engine head(s) on motorcycles and other things that go BANG. And my first use was to verify my HVAC blend door operation by simply drilling a hole in the heater plenum. The cost was only about $15.00 including freight from a U.S.seller. It saved me hours of labor and a lot of frustration. It has a high resolution picture and LED lights to be able to use in dark places.
I suggest that any DIYer get one if they have an Androidphone or a device that has USB ports. It is well worth several times the cost in just the labor saved on many jobs.

Ditto, I can't believe how cheap these are now! I have one that connects over wifi to any device, phone, laptop, you name it. And the camera is waterproof as well, so you can inspect drains and stuff with it as well. And if you break it? It's cheap enough to have a couple of spares handy, so you won't have to wait for a new one to arrive in the mail.. hehe.

I think this is a really great tool for anyone. The fact that all you have to do to check your blend door operation/condition is to drill a small hole in the heater plastic and insert the lens/probe, look around save a lot of hours of labor and frustration. I also thought about the poor guys that have to check inside the oil pan looking for plastic debris from our cam chain guides. On a 4wd there is a lot of stuff to remove before you can drop the oil pan. This tool should save 6 hours or more just to see inside the engine. I've been there and done that......I DIDN'T LIKE IT A BIT!!!
