Dana 44 question

Gentlemen, The 4-47 ring and pinion in my 51 F1 are well and truly past their use-by date. The axles themselves are ok though (as far as I know).
Question...Could I replace them with a Dana 3-50 set, parts #37258 and #37259 ?
Thanks for any answers.
Geoff.

Dana 44 Question.

38 coupe. Thanks for your help, 'preciate it. I guess I'll have to look for an old f100 axle or similar. Local swap meet coming up soon.....we shall see!
Regards ..Geoff.
