1990 F150 8.8 axle splines

Does anyone know how many splines my 8.8axle in my 1990 F150 4x4 has? 28 or 31?

I’m pretty sure there not 31, so they must be 28.

1990 F150 8.8 axle splines

My 95 has 31 spline axles in it. I would assume the 90 does also. Hope this helps.

Well, now I have 2 replies with 2 different answers! I guess I have to find out by opening the axle and counting them.

My 95 has 31, so I would think yours does too.

Your 8.8 has 31 spline axles, 28 spline axles where put in 8.8 axles for mustangs.
