lose conection on fuse box

My friend Joe has a 98 ranger that has a lose connection on fuel relay under the hood,,,, hit a bad bump truck dies,,, pop hood wiggle wire and your good till next bump,,,,,this got real old real quick ,,,, anyone know how this connection is made ,,,is it soldered ????

The wire connection to the contact is usually crimped. It's not uncommon for these connections to become corroded & fail. So, remove the power relay & check for corrosion in the sockets & if any found, use a good quality/brand of plastic safe electrical contact cleaner, like CRC-QD, or CRC MAF spray cleaners & tidy up the corrosion. A dab of a good quality electrical contact lube on the relay contact tabs, like GE, DowCorning, Permatex/Loctite, that says its formulated for the job, would be a good idea & they're available at most auto parts, or big box store auto chemical areas.
