51-52 F1 Steel Front Fenders?

Hello I'm a new member but a proud owner of a 52 F1 5 star for 33 years. I have gone to fiberglass nearly 20 years go due to continual water blisters forming from heavy bondo/fiberglass on the original steel. I have never been very happy with the fit of my fiberglass fenders. I've decided to begin the search for the needle in that haystack. Steel front fenders for a 51-52 F1. I figured this is a good place to ask if anyone has a line on a salvage yard or a set in decent shape that they would be willing to part with.

I thank you in advance! Keep On Trucking.

I see F1 parts or trucks being parted out on CL pretty regularly. I'm in AZ and there is plenty of rust free stuff here. I see you are in Texas so I would think you have plenty to choose from as well.

Good fenders are not cheap. Many, even here in AZ, have the typical rusty spot where they bolt to the running boards. Not too much to fix though.

Post up on the want to buy section here. Maybe you'll find a pair. Good luck and welcome to FTE!

We have Desert Valley Auto Parts here in Phoenix area. All vintage salvage yard. A little pricey but they have a lot.

I know Texas has a couple. Shipping would be expensive but, maybe worth a drive.

Local finds on CL or here on the forum is probably your best bet though. Ya gotta network and scrounge. The stuff is out there. Good luck!

Thanks for the advise on where to look. CL got me a front clip as well as a hood and cab that I will be putting up for sale.

Thank you again!

T Swift, Where are you located? I have a couple that are in very good shape... surface rust only. I've attached a couple of pictures. If you are interested, I have some closeups.

BTW, I'm looking for steel 49 fenders if you know of any.

If you are going to the f100 supernats in May, there will be 2 sets uppers and lowers there. My transport guy told me he was bringing them as he is selling there this year

Dan,

I'm in Texas just curious how much are you asking for the fenders? They are in great shape.
