Bed rails and sides

Hey guys bought a spare 8ft bed in much better shape couple months back for my 97 reg cab . Once the weather starts to turn around I plan on buying a complete bedside and glueing it on. (One side is bad). It also needs a few bed rails before I por 15 the underside. After I cut and grind off old rusted bed rails can the new ones be glued or bolted on? I don't have a welder and don't have the means to transport the bed anywhere anymore? Thanks Kyle

The bed rail can be bolted up, since they are riveted to the frame just make sure to use good ol grade 8 bolts.
Good luck

My bad brain fart read to quick. Your going to tack it at a minimum or you can bolt them but will look bad on the top of the bed.

Was thinking of 3-4 bolts on each rail? I have a bed liner so you won't see the bolt heads

Thanks bud let me know if you find anything! hardest part I'm running into is finding an already black bed. (Oem or professional paint) . No flat black or rattle can junk. Got a quote to paint a bed with absolutely no body work for 1500$ so it's nere impossible to find a clean black bed

Well. The one in the back anyway. The one up front is just money well spent
