Hi guys I'm new here.
I need some serious advice on long range towing.
I planing to move from Pittsburgh PA to Seattle WA about 2.7k miles.
I'm using an 96 f150, single cab, 2wd straight 6, E4OD trany, H8 (3.08) axle
Stock tire, truck has a 135k original miles. To tow a 02 Jeep Liberty. GVWR 5600# plus the dolly about 400#.
Anybody can give me any good advise.
U-haul told me this truck have not enough weight to handle the load.

If the Liberty is 4x4 you can not put o a dolly has to be flat towed or on a trailer. Uhaul 's database is very accurate.

If you are renting a truck to move problem solved.

Other options are to ship it or drive it out and fly back.

 

Another option would be to sell one of the vehicles...id vote for the liberty....
