2015 F350.... my bed cracked/is splitting apart? Pic inside

2015 crew cab FX4 long bed I purchased last June.

Put 30k miles on it so far and noticed this today...

Will this be covered by warranty? That is daylight shining through.

Less than a year old. Depends on mileage and whether there is any damage that caused the separation.
Its hard to tell where in the bed this is.

Just forward of the wheel well. Picture is crappy and doesn't do it justice. It's cracked in several spots spanning about 20 inches.

No damage to truck

Its not really a crack. That's a seem that is just spot welded on the bottom where the bed floor and sides are joined. It may have been like that since you bought it. I'm curious as to what Ford will tell you. It's not a structural issue unless the spot welds underneath are pulling apart.

Mine is like that, and all 4 of the other ones I looked at were like that too. Like Scott said, just where it's spot welded and in between it opens up a little.

It should be covered, but you know the dealer will somehow blame you. I would at least try.

Yup! I had a 2007 Mark LT, and I thought about trying to make the bed "dustproof". I crawled inside with the tonneau cover closed and had the wife close the tailgate so I could see light showing through the holes..........I just told her to openit back up, because it would be a lost cause, there was daylight showing everywhere!
