I'm going to have to replace my oil cooler soon and I'm trying to put a parts list together. Does anybody have a list of all the gaskets and updated parts I will need for an 03? Gonna do the egr delete at the same time. I've searched for awhile and I couldn't find a decent list.

Short list is the oil cooler kit (should come with gaskets and new screen for HPO resivoir)
A turbo mount kit (gaskets and orings and new bolts for turbo install)
EGR install kit (depending on which delete kit you use and what comes with it)
A IPR screen kit (a new screen is a good idea as its common for it to clog after an oil cooler replacement)
Intake manifold gaskets (they are reuseable but a 2003 has a few years on it now and the old ones may be shot)
Oil and oil filter
Coolant system flushing chemicals and fresh coolant
Beer?

Of course there are many "while you're in there" things that are smart to change, but the above stuff would be the short list.

 

Eric, you posted a list that was execelent. I used it when I did mine and only had to pick up a intake front(?) gasket. It served me well. Don't know where it is or I would link to it.

Uh oh saw it was for an 03 sorry. Don't know if same parts used.

By the way I have a new project. Rear differential. Will post pictures. Have somebody that knows what they are doing cus I sure don't ;-)

 

Last time I ordered a "all the gaskets you need to do your cooler" from Tousley I got like 10 gaskets I didn't need. Is there a gasket kit made especially for changing out the cooler or do you need to make it up yourself ?
3C3Z-9N693-A is the part number for all the gaskets to replace the oil cooler except intake gaskets which some guys re-use, some guys replace.

 

These gaskets come in the MAXFORCE oil cooler kit box. It's what you should get if you buy a genuine Ford oil cooler. What else you need depends on what else you tear up or what falls apart while you're doing the job. The only other "for sure" you'll need is the gasket for the turbo oil feed line at the top of the turbo, It tears everytime. If you're super cheap, just make a new one from a Captain Crunch cereal box and rock on.

 

Here is a thread where I changed my first one on my own truck. It a few years old now and keep in mind it's an '06 so any talk about the HPOP or STC fitting won't apply to your '03.
