Rick, I don't have an additional auto trans column, just the one.
Shortly after buying the engine from you, another made itself available that had already been fully rebuilt. I picked it up for $200. That's the one that is in my truck now. As for parts, heck yes! The exhaust manifolds which I'm working on now we're the best ones as was the water pump. Many good parts!
The block was given to a young man in So Cal who was rebuilding a truck that had been in his family for a long time. Last picture I saw of it had the truck running down the road and very proud young man behind the wheel.

Guard that "high-mount" water pump with your life! I hear even the cores are getting hard to find now!

Nice work Brian.
The last picture is of a heat riser. It looks pretty good. What is wrong with it? They do not repop them. You might find used ones on eBay. If guys take out the crossover pipe and go with duals they could sell the riser. Incidentally, the riser on my new 55 F350 is missing. It looks like they have a spacer in its place.

The day has come to rebuild the steering column! I've been looking forward to having these parts together in one place. Some old, some new, some provided by FTE members!
When I was a youngster in the Army, we used to have competitions to see who could assemble their field stripped M16A2 the fastest. I was pretty darn fast with a best time of 17 seconds. We would then field strip a M60 and a Colt .45 and throw all 3 weapons and parts together in a box - my fastest time for all three was 1:34. Seeing this many parts reminds me of those days.
I had thought about seeing how fast I could assemble this steering column and box, but those days of speed have long passed. I'll take my time.

Jumping around a bit, but here is my seat. I recovered it myself with a seat cover kit from Mid-fifty's. I purchase the duck cloth, burlap and foam pad from a fabric store. I used too much duck cloth so some of it got bunched up under the vinyl. I'll fix it before its installed. In the meantime, it's a great seat that's in my daughters school desk area in the house.

Just in case you didn't find out, we called that a Dashpot. Don't know if that is the actual name, but I think it is. My knowledge of it is it's to keep the throttle from slamming shut too fast and possibly causing the engine to stall. You adjust the height of it until the throttle closes at a smooth rate without hanging at a high rpm too long or too fast where the engine might stall out when cold.
