The title says it all. I cannot figure out where the noise is coming from. I cannot duplicate the noise just by shaking the truck even with two guys on each side. It's not a squeak, but more of a clunk or a pop. I can feel it in the floor with my left foot if I press it against the fire wall where it meets the floorboard.

End links were replaced November before last with energy suspension and have repeatedly been lubed and tightened and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I can get the end links to make a little squeak with a couple guys rocking the truck hard. Doesn't sound the same from outside the truck as the clunk sounds from inside. At any rate, they are new, so idk where to go from there.

Outer tie rod end?
Ours has had the same clunk - slow turns with a dip or changing road angle.
Everything else seems fine.
Replaced the front sway bar with a Hellwig and it's not the sway bar bushings.
Just changed the tie rods today and will know in a few days if that was it.
The old ones with 109k were very loose.
The new ones are real tight.
While it's up on blocks I want to change the Y pipe, too.
Update: The thunk is gone, so ours was a tie rod end.

Remove one sway bar end link completely (so it doesn't bang into something if left hanging). Then take a short drive, if the clunk is gone, you found what is clunking
My 2wd clunks and I have this on my to do list. The 2wd bolts, bushings, and mounting holes have lots of slop. I've switched to M12-1.75 class 10.9 (close to grade 8 for metric) bolts which are much less sloppy, but still clunk at the same places everyday... The stock holes and bushing sleeves are 15/32 and the stock bolts have narrow bodies wider ends which really sucks.

I have the sway bar deal going on now. It clunks like all the time when you hit a bump. I cannot reproduce it by shaking it. Close to 8000 lbs moves many a thing mere mortal men cannot. My sway bar bushings are shredded so new end links and bushings are on the way.The body mount is not near as noisy as that but it does clunk right under your feet. If you narrow it down to the body mount then Option 1 is to tighten the hell out of it--but don't break it. Pull back the carpet and you will see a rubber plug about where your feet rest. Just pop that out and you will have access to the bolt. Option 2 If you replace it, its a rather challenging task. If you end up doing yourself, do NOT EVER EVER EVER put the lower and upper body mounts together to kinda see how they fit. They are almost impossible to separate again.

If there is even slight movement or side-to side movement the swaybar will clunk. Surprised me the first time I fixed mine, it had just a bit of side-to-side movement. Mechanic showed me and said that was my clunk...I was like "really?". He put new ones on and voila, clunk was gone.
