Anyone done this? Does the inner door latch plate have to get taken off to remove it from the door? Or does it come out the window opening after removing the glass? (Can't see how with the crank spindle sticking out.)

Sorry, I'm not feeling well and not thinking clear. The plate that the door handle attaches to, blocks decent access to the door cavity.

 

IIRC I removed all the rivets and remove the whole thing
