I see that the cross member for the transmission has the center cut out and that may explain why you had to fix the frame. My recommendation is that you make a drop out cross member to connect the two ends.

Also, think about offsetting the engine and trans towards the passenger side to get more header clearance for the steering. Moving those an inch or two will save you a lot of grief later.

Now you Jumpin weeks later LOL
I have looked very closely at all of it and to my untrained eye all the welds look exceptional.
Moving forward .........

That could be but I've seen a lot of them like that? Believe me there will be ample bracing when I'm done. The half that's on the driver side I need for my under the floor brake master but the other side will be determined once I get my crossmember in that I took out of the Crown Vic. Thanks for the help And the tip about the offset I'll be paying close attention as I do my mock up.

I put a 32V 99 Cobra engine in my F1 with BBK longtube headers. It is a tight fit but it clears the steering shaft. Took a bit of clearancing to get it right.

Yes I still have that to tackle. What did you do about your fuel tank?
Did you change over to a carb or use the FI? My brain hearts trying to figure out the fuel delivery and sending unit to include the vapor recovery and rank pressure. Not sure how to go about this. I have a mid year mustang tank I was going to use in the back of the frame.

Some update pics.

How wide is the rear axle? It looks like it is going to be to wide.
