2009 Navigator Trans Leak **Pics**

Noticed a small pool of trans fluid on the garage floor. Did a little searching and saw there is a TSB on this trans related to the wiring bulkhead fitting, but it looks to me like this leak is a bit higher up. Driveshaft seal? Any help is greatly appreciated!

One thing about leaks, they usually are the most FORWARD part of the tranny leaking because as you drive, the fluid gets blown towards the back of the vehicle, so that rules out the driveshaft seal if it's all over the bottom of the tranny

It looks like it could be the seal at the shifter shaft.

Had this happen to my wife's Cougar with the 4R70W tranny. It involved pulling the pan, removing the shift shaft, and replacing the little seal. A bit of work for what I think was a less than $10 seal, but it hasn't leaked since, and that was 6 or 7 years ago.
