I am new to this site and hopefully this is the right spot. I have a 2006 ford f150 kingranch and my obd2 reader says p0430/p0420. The truck runs fine, but every now and then it dies at stop signs/ red lights. Could it be the sensors throwing both codes? Thanks for the help!!!

 

I mean bot oxygen sensers, and I only have 2 in front of the cat.

 

Should have sensors after the cat too. Its not the sensors causing the codes.

 

My truck started doing the same thing a couple days ago! havent had time to get it checked to see what the code is. but it dies EVERYtime i stomp on the brakes and slow down really fast...if i slow down VERY slowly most the time it wont die, but it will idle rough going up and down in rpms. i have to put it into neutral and keep it revved up if i have to slow down fast to keep it from dying..

I have a suspicion that its the ICV (idle control valve)...but it also has stuck at 3K rpm when flooring it a couple times, so wondering if possibly the TPS(throttle position sensor) is going bad also or whats going on...i plan on getting the codes checked and fixing it this weekend. if you find out whats wrong with yours please update, if you havent fixed it before i do ill be sure to let you know what was wrong with mine...

do you have the same type of problems that i explained? does it die everytime if you slam on the brakes? or idle rough?

 

420? tells me the cats are going bad.
