Has anyone had to change one of these? I have done a 1996 F250 but not a Superduty. Is is as simple as pressing out the old one and installing a new one?
Finally tackled this job. I did the passenger side I beam. I had to unbolt the pivot bracket from the crossmember to get the I beam out of the bracket. I then used a scrap piece of 2x2 steel wedged between the I beam and crossmember to hold the beam down so I could work on the bushing. I did not have the right size mandrel to press out the old one so I drilled out the rubber and then used a sawzall to cut the bushing lengthwise and a air chisel to hammer it out. The new bushing pressed right in. It takes a bit of manipulating to get the bracket and beam bolted back on the crossmember but I got it. The truck no longer wanders left/right with grooves in the road. Yay! The old bushing would let the I beam move in/out about 1/4"
