I sent Monty's video to my buddy who runs XLR first thing this AM. He's been in the business for a long time and I'm fairly certain, has seen it all. He got right back to me and said, while he can't be 100% certain from the little he can see in the video, it looks to me more of a wall issue than a frame issue. He said the frame and RV as a whole is designed to flex or else it would break. What he was seeing in the picture is the wall and fiberglass separating from the aluminum tubing it's attached to as the RV flexes. He said if that is indeed the case, it's an easy fix if addressed quickly. Again, he couldn't be 100% sure from the short video but said he's seen this happen on his and many other brands and it sure is what the video looks like. Let's hope for Monty's sake, he's right.

I just back from the dealer and made an appointment to drop it off tomorrow. The general manager said he was almost certain that it is in the joint where the drop frame cage is welded to the Lippert frame. I've never noticed, but he said that all drop frame campers have a vertical relief cut made in the side wall underneath the bed slide. So I went out to the lot and every one of the drop frames on the lot did have this cut with a piece of trim covering the cut. It's the only cut in the side wall of the camper like that. He also said that Lippert supplies the frame only, but the drop frame cages are supplied by the manufacturer of the camper, not Lippert. Not sure about that one either, but we'll see. He said that seam, the vertical one in the pic, is a tell tell sign when that weld breaks. Who knows. The service manager was off and I will talk to him in the morning.

Well, I'm back from the dealer. Service manager said no need in him keeping the rig at the dealership as he can do nothing with it. They are calling Keystone/Montana to see what they recommend. More than likely it will have to go back to the factory. Then he warned me it may take several weeks to months to get it back. That last statement DID NOT see well with me. So, now a waiting game. I think I am going to email my factory rep and see where that gets me.
