2015 Bucket seats but no Console
I am looking at a left over 2015 F250XL, 6.2L, 4X4, Short Bed. It is a new vehicle, 320 miles, it came in a dealer swap so that was the transfer miles. Truck was built in December 2014.
Question: It has bucket seats with no console. Well, there is some small plastic thing that is a cup holder between the seats, but NO arm rest center console. Is this normal? Or did someone take out the center console/arm rest and swap it into something else, and just found something to bolt to the floor? The one that is there appears it could be a factory piece, but man alive is it cheap.
Also, why no fold up arm rest attached to the seat??? Ford did this in the past. Anyone know if there is a bolt hole to attach an arm rest from another Ford bucket? One that you could fold up and down maybe?? you wold have to make a hole in the fabric to use it, but someone should be able to go feel around for a threaded hole or something. Would love to here from anyone who may know.
Thanks.

I've seen fleet trucks equipped like that, although they've been chassis cabs.
The phone company F450s come to mind.
Their trucks are fitted with large computer screens attached to the dashboard, and the Ford center console would interfere with the computer touch screen Articulated mount.
If your truck is being sold as new, the window sticker should list the option packages.

Thanks Finn. Looking at the window sticker, it list "Cloth 40/Console/40 Seat".
It is listed as a $615.00 option .
Looking at the way the window sticker describes it, it seems to me there should be a full size console there. I don't mind the set up, but would like to have a larger center console if that was suppose to be installed.
Hopefully someone else chimes in.
P.S. This is not a stripper truck in my opinion. Has the Power Equipment option, the FX4, Sync, XL apperance etc.

May have found the answer to my console question.
Only the XLT and above get the large, arm rest console. It is in the XLT advantage package (I think). What is in that package, continues on up through the Lariat, King R, Platinum (with more options thrown in as you move up in package/model configuration).
O.K., feel better now. Will have to order an XLT or higher center console, if I move on this deal.
Now to find out if the XL bucket seats are pre drilled and tapped for arm rest in the seat, that swing up and down.

I don't think they will be ford hasn't used the fold down armrest on the side of the seat since 07 in the super Duties they went to the taller console so they could use the same seats for the 40/20/40 that has the flip up middle seat and the 40/console/40 seat configuration trucks.

When I ordered my 2015 XL I had the option of both consoles. The larger one comes only with shift on the fly 4wd, which I didn't want. Anyway, you should have it as an option if you are custom ordering one. I ordered mine with the jump seat that I removed and installed a F150 console instead. Much better option for me.
