Are these tires any good

I just bought me a 2016 f250 and can't wait for our big beach camping vacation in June. I will be pulling from Maryville TN(just south of Knoxville) to Cape Hatteras NC.

We have an 06 30' travel trailer, weighing 6k lbs dry. I've always camped here local, but I want to get it ready for the big trip. I will be putting new brakes and tires on. I'm willing to spend more money if I have too, but I'm kinda on a budget, and whatever I spend prepping this camper is just less fun money we will have on vacation. I also realize that a breakdown on the side of the interstate will be much more costly than spending a little extra now. Three of the tires I believe are original on this camper, one I replaced at the end of last season. I plan on keeping the one I replaced and 1 more as spares.

Please tell me if these are good tires. Yes it's Walmart, that's why I'm asking. If not, what would you run?

Also, where's the cheapest place to get a couple spare rims?

What size are on the RV now? If they are ST's, I'd buy the equiv. of LT's.

Look at the date code on your tires... if they are 7 years or older they are past due for being replaced.

What are the equivalent of LT's? Educate me. I will check the tires out when I get home and post back.

I've been using them for two years, about 7000 miles. No problems. The trailer seems to tow better than the OEM tires. They have a L speed rating which is 75mph Carlisle Radial Trail RH Trailer Tire tires - Reviews, ratings and specs in the Clovis Area - Discount Tire

Example: If you have ST-235-75-16, get LT 235-75-16

I haven't been able to find a 205/75/15 in a LT. Discount has a LT 215/75/15 for about $50.00 more per tire. The Carlisle's I have on now have about 5000 miles with no issues, so I'll keep what I have.

I ended up buying 4 st205/75/15c goodyear marathons with wheels for 456 shipped to my door. These are the exact tire that came on it, with one failure at 9 years old. Guess I've got 4 spares now. I would have saved a few dollars buying the carlisle's from Wally World and a couple rims for spares, but I won't even have to mess with getting them mounted, and I've got a couple extra spares, and a quality tire. Time to look at brakes.

goes with out saying, repack the wheel bears and replace the seals.

You have to completely clean the old grease out before putting new in. Be sure the grease you use is a high temp one. Compatible with your axles.

I had planned on repacking the bearings when I pulled everything apart to check the brakes. Is there any thing else you guys recommend before a long trip?

While you are in there repacking the bearing and checking the brakes take a very close look at all of the suspension bushings. If they are worn with a lot of free play then investing in an upgraded set with wet bolts would be a nice improvement.
