Auxiliary gas tank

[
I have been trying to think of a good way to carry extra gas while towing my trailer. I can not find a extra fuel tank for my F250, so I am thinking about carrying a couple of the army type steel 5 gal gas cans safely in the truck bed. What do you think. I plan to do a lot of traveling this year.

I've seen people put the spare in the bed and install a factory tank from another model for example) behind the axle where the spare is installed. A bit of doing to do it right, and then you have the spare(s) to deal with, but you'll get well over 10 gallons in most cases. Serving suggestion.

Cans are a pita. Trying to find metal army cans may be a challenge. Originals are well used, aftermarket jobs are sometimes not so good. I think I'd rather have a spare in the back than a can of gas.

Many people are using mustang tanks between the frame and behind the axle.
