2017 Super Duty confusion

I just got this link in an email from Ford.

It talks about the new Super Duty 6.7 diesel getting upgraded to its most powerful yet, 330HP and 750 Ft lb torque.

Am I incorrect in thinking that my 2011 6.7 diesel has 400 hp and 8-00 ft lb torque?

If not, would this new 6.7 be receiving sever downgrades and not upgrades?

That's the rating for the chassis-cab models. I think they are currently rated for 300/675.

That's for the commercial chassis cabs. They got 30 HP and 90 ft-lbs of torque increase.

Those engines are normally slightly derated for a commercial duty cycle.

The regular super-duty trucks I'm sure will have more than that.

Front view of the truck cab isn't very flattering....looks like a low rider with skinny tires. 330hp and 750 torque is a lot of derating! My 2015 came with 440hp and 860 lbs torque.

I find it statistically interesting that there are 2 new people on the site today, each with one post, each with their first post within an hour of each other, and each complaining about the front of the 2017 truck.

I was confused as well. Poorly written article as far as clarifying that. Misleading title too, but that's normal for media, to get people to read it. It worked.

I didn't see another post referring to the looks, just the HP and torque ratings which another poster was kind enough to explain the discrepancy of the stats quoted in the Ford's announcement. Either way, my comment that the front photo made the cab look like a low rider, was an observation, not a complaint. I wonder what 2009kr thinks of the photo? I'll be upgrading my 2015 F-250 (which is the best of my many diesel trucks I've owned since 2000) to the new 2017 F-250 when it debuts. Next time I'll try to find a new place to post so as to save room for savvy statisticians such as 2009kr. BTW I believe my join date is 11 months older than 2009kr's and I really do own the stuff I occasionally post about...1FT7W2BT4FEA75148

If you are referring to me, I am not new to the forum. I joined when I bought my 2011 F250. What I posted was far from a complaint, it was a question. Does this group consider questions to be complaints?

I wasn't referring to your post; however, it is clear that I offended some with my post. I apologize for that.

I as well questioned and posted about the appearance of the first released images of the front end, and the interior. As I have now studied numerous pictures of the front end I think I much prefer the 2017. Losing the massive chrome cowl does a lot to make an awesome truck decorated nicely instead of a formidable front end of glistening chromium. It is much like the un-chroming of the the cars of the '50s with sleeker, cleaner cars in the mid to late '60s. At least we don't have to contend with tail fins. Or wait, what is that appendage on the top of the tail gate...oh no!

I don't think we've had a truly good front end since the highboy/lowboy designs went away.

If they widened the vertical gap between the two grill bars, and took away the mini-fins, I think it would be a little better. I also just noticed, they took away the grippy-step surface from that bumper area underneath the headlights. The step grip is only in the middle now. (Not that I ever actually step on mine)
