Dash pad was super easy, got mine from jcwhitney, it just slides right over, don't even have to pull the existing dash pad off the truck. You can glue it in if wanted but mine stays so well I opted not to.

Also I want the 4 link for more adjustment and finer tuning, I want to do coilovers all around.

Technically the one that slides over is a cover, not a pad. They sell pads also, so some folks will be confused if you call it a pad.

Engine options

I saw this article over the weekend and thought of your thread - hope it helps or at least gives you something to drool over:

Blue Ovals in Boxes: 10 Awesome Ford Crate Engines for Under Your Hood - OnAllCylinders

Some good engine possibilities. Not knocking the coyote engine at all, my daily driver is a mustang and it's a brilliant motor... but check out a few of the other options like this one:

Ford Racing 427 C.I.D. 535 HP Crate Engines M-6007-Z427FFT - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

525 horsepower 351 Windsor, tweaked to 427ci for less than half the cost of the coyote alone... and likely a much easier install (much).

You had me regretting my direct 302 to 302 swap until I saw the price on that 427

Yeah that last page you sent me to was great, I'm really considering throwing that in! 😍 Right now I'm working on grinding some of the front spindle to fit some aftermarket wilwood calipers 😬

A guy on nloc.net used to modify the 87-96 spindle to run a wilwood brake set up. It was big money but that included all parts and labor. No aftermarket spindles that I know of though

Finished up drivers side. I'm going to get my custom bracket welded up for extra security and paint all the bare metal and it'll be ready to run, now I gotta get to work on passenger side.

Looks good so far. I'd like to see exactly what you did to the spindle for the wilwood caliper. That's a bad *** upgrade for sure.

When I take it apart for repainting I'll take better pics of the spindle
