Morning everyone.

Jim, don't feel bad. I didn't know what it was for either until Dave explained it to me. I still don't understand it well enough to explain it properly. The twin sticks allow you to shift the transfer case for the front and rear separately. Thus giving more control for different obstacles. Dave can more in-depth, but that is the gist of it.

Good morning Nevada, happy Tuesday! So, those are for the diff's, or are there 2 separate transfer cases??

I am guessing one transfer case, but now he can lock the front wheels only, or rear wheels only, of course, would not the rear be locked anyway? I thought the transfer case was to engage, or disengage the front diff, not the rear.

the transfer case allows for separate setting of high and low gear on each axle. That is why there is a rear control.

You guys are on the right track.

Normally a transfercase will allows you to disengage the front axle only.

Normal shift options look like this:
2wd high (rear axle)
4wd high (both)
4wd low (both)

My shift options look like this:
2wd high (rear)
2wd High (front)
2wd low (rear)
2wd low (front)
4wd high (both)
4wd low (both)

Pretty cool when on the trail and you need low gears but not 4wd, this happens more than you would think.
Many times I am in 4wd just for the gears.
Now that I have a front locker the steering is not as good when in 4wd so this allows me to disengage the front axle while staying in low range.

Not much since the funds have dried up. Waiting for a couple paychecks to get back at it.
