They had originally said 8 weeks.

 

They lied, and I know. I Know... Dealers never lie...

Looking at production lead times, no line is 8 weeks. Some are 16 to 18 though. Not even sure that includes shipping delays. Ask sailor Roy about that delay...

 

 

Sheeee....I have a 9/26 build date and hope the truck is here mid Oct. My wait since I ordered will be SIX months. You got it easy....lol

 

Everyone who has to wait is disappointed. But at that I understand your frustration. Some of us have been waiting since the third week of April and have not even been promised a build date so although some may feel bad for your undo wait others watch new orders come in and be delivered without a hint of help from the Ford Motor Company regarding their nearly 5 month wait. Not that your order is not important to you but not everyone will evoke the same sympathies. I am sure the wait will be worth it by the time you get it, so just stay patient.

 

In April the production start date was months out.... I hopersonally you knew when you ordered it was months away... I went through this in 2010 when I ordered a 2011.

 

Expectations on delivery...

For current model year production - the dealers are instructed by Ford to not quote delivery times any shorter than 10 weeks and are advised to increase that to 12 weeks given that transportation logistics can increase the time to delivery by 2 weeks.

This is an age old problem - dealers see their orders coming in 6-8 weeks and then start quoting those times. It is not right now and never has been..

Add into this that you're ordering a brand new model series that will undoubtedly have a couple of hiccups, you will see the delays as Ford attempts to remedy these before shipment when possible.

In reality I think since they will say anything and do that's so often that they don't even think things they say are a lie

 

My dealer is rated by ford as fords highest volume dealer in the nation, and they can't even get any for stock.

 

I fully understood that it was months out. I also understood that a retail sale would take longer than a stock order....until the OK to Sell Date. Since then I have witnessed lots of new orders being processed and on the train for delivery and FoMoCo will not even schedule a date for my build, along with lots of others who placed their orders early. I don't mind waiting my turn, I don't mind the extra wait for a finalized truck rather than a repaired mistake on the line, or worse yet remanufactured truck. But I do get annoyed with trucks being delivered to driveways while my order sits at the bottom of the pile. Last in, first out. Does not seem right. And yes it has been checked for compliance and I was told the order was clear and would be scheduled the second week of August. Still nothing.

 

I felt your pain. Ordered May of 2010. Came in Dec. 2010 and was wrong... had to be reordered.

Same frustration. But it was a new line and delays hapoened.

 

how do i get the bed mat shown on yhe build and price site? my service department can't get it and Ford customer service is no help.

 

Well it's been a long wait but it's finally here.
Love the truck. The only thing I have a issue with is the interior lighting. Its not the best. It has a lot of cool accent lighting but not enough actual lights to see with. I'm sure a lot of that has to do with full sky sun roof.
ether then that it's perfect.

I bought the Gen1 Ford SVT Raptor from "your dealer" at MSRP. They and other dealers across the country are now selling the 2017 Raptors for $20,000+ over MSRP.

Now that I'm buying a 2017 F-250 Diesel 4x4 Crew Cab Lariat Ultimate I can't work with them. Their prices are too high and they show very little interest in working with customers who aren't buying TODAY.

Sunrise Ford in NoHo is at MSRP - $7,500 and I'm still looking for a better deal.
