multiple problems

1990 f150 4.9 I6 5sp rwd

1: when the truck is started in the mornings or after work, it will start, then the rpms will drop off like theyre supposed to but after a few seconds the truck starts lugging real bad and eventually dies. it takes either me in the truck keeping it running by feathering the gas or several restarts until it has reached proper operating temperature for it to straighten out and constantly idle correctly.

2: theres what looks to be sludge or just some sort of grime in my clutch master cylinder and the power steering reservoir do i need to worry about it?

3: every now and then if im in a big hurry and start slamming gears the trans will slip in between gears and i have to shut the truck off and feather the clutch and force the gear shift into gears to unlock the trans

4: does anyone know a good place or site to get decently priced ford parts other than the obvious parts stores because me and my family have alot of fords

On the left side of the bar near the top, click on "User CP"

Then, go down to "Edit Signature" on the left.

Fill in some info about your vehicle, like:

"1976 F-150. 300-I6. C6 auto."

If you've done any mods, like a carburetor change, upgraded ignition, etc. Put those too. They help people get an immediate sense of what they're working with when you ask questions and can be very helpful. It also saves you from having to post it every time.
