The new harness had a couple shorts in it. Repaired, reinstalled, pulse at all injectors. Pulled the rail & injectors, #8 not firing. Replaced it, watched all injectors spray fuel & put it all back together. Attempted to start & the solenoid went out. Replaced & attempted to start, now no fire from the coil. Arrrgghh!!! Found the bad connection & it fired right up. Still missing on #1. Fire at the plug so I replaced the plug. Still missing on #1.

Called it a night at 1:30 this mornin.

I found three melted spots in the harness. All wires ohmed at 1.1 or less.

What did you use as a reference point for the meter leads?

As in where did I test the ohms from?
The injection harness has an 8 pin plug at the back of the intake. I ohmed from that plug to each injector.
And now #1 has fowled 3 the plugs

Perhaps the return side is grounded and always open?

Or you have a weak spark problem.
