92 302 to 93 bronco

I have a 92 f150 with a 302 on its last leg. Im looking at 2 broncos with 302s. One is a 93 and the other a 88 Eddie Bauer. I want to rebuild my f150s 302 as a project and then put it in the the bronco. Are either of these compatible? Im learning as I go here.

The 1993 would be a slightly easier swap since it shares the same remote TFI module as your 1992. You could use the 1988, but you would need to swap distributors.

I think 1994 was the first year for a roller cam in the truck 5L engines. Someone else can confirm. If that's the case the 1988 donor would work without swapping the gear on the end of the distributor.

Nope.. it was '92 but with the base roller cam, in '94 the Explorer cam was installed across the board in all truck 5.0 and 5.8 motors.

Otherwise the '93 is the best candidate.. it's the exact same motor.

Thanks Paul! These pesky little 5L engines are a bit foreign to me. I knew I was close.
