2013 F-250 Radiator Leak
The truck has 64k miles and has developed a small leak on the engine side of the radiator with no apparent damage. There is no variation on the pressure test and the dealer was able to find the very small leak with dye in the system. It has lowered by about 3/4 of a gallon of coolant over the last couple of months. There are no visible signs of a leak but you smell the coolant when you stop the truck. The dealer says the truck and repair is out of warranty and want $2100 for the repair...$1600 for the radiator and $500 to flush and refill the cooling system. Has anyone else experienced this issue.

Haven't known anyone with an issue. I really wouldn't expect Ford to cover it unless you had an extended warranty. I know the diesel radiator is more than the gas. But I would think you can probably find one that isn't from Ford for call it 500 less if you wanted just a stock replacement.
You can probably find a Mishimoto or CSF all aluminum replacement for what Ford wants for stock. And I would just have to work done at a mechanic you trust. If it's out of warranty, you shouldn't need to worry about Ford. Unless those are the only mechanics you trust.

Common failure since 2008 and the plastic on the ends of the radiator.
The failure point is most likely on the drivers side near the petcock.
You can see the moisture if you look through the drivers side wheel well.
I would not pay that much. You can order one and put it in yourself or call ford cust svc and speak with them for some help.
Dealer is trying to take advantage of you for the job.

I have a 2012 and have had the radiator replaced twice. There was an update and I now have about 80,000 miles in the current one. First two failed at almost the exact same time (42,000). Call Ford Customer Service. They paid 2/3 of the bill on both of mine. My dealer charged $1,500 for the job.

I recommend you speak with the service manager at your Ford Dealer, as he is in the best position to ensure a proper diagnosis, and look into any available options and/or coverage for any work needed. Also, remember repairs done at a Ford Dealer come with a 24 months/unlimited miles warranty.
You can schedule an appointment online here. Let me know the outcome.

Had this happen to me on my 2013. Had 50k miles on it. Same issue where the plastic and metal meet in the corner of the radiator. Unfortunately for me, mine only showed up when the dealer did a pressure test. If it had been leaking prior to the test, I would have seen it in my driveway for sure. The dealer was not cooperative at all, and yes, it was a $1,500 repair. I was not very happy either, as I think their pressure test caused the leak. Was it going to leak later? Maybe, but it was not leaking before the test.
So I did what any normal person would do - traded it in for a 2016. I told the dealer about it when I traded it in so they would know. They wanted my business (different dealer with much better service) because I have 4 trucks to buy for work over the next several months. I win, they win!

As I read through this thread it re-affirms my belief that with the cost of parts and service a service plan is indeed necessary on these high cost vehicles. Although I do not believe I should have to buy a warranty to assure happy motoring the extreme technology and related costs make it an almost no brainer. I guess I would rather have the warranty and not need it than stand at a service counter signing for another mortgage. Not unlike a CC .45.

Leaky Radiator
I have the same problem on my 2013 F250 SD 6.7 Diesel 4x4 crew cab. Started getting a leak at lower left (driver) side of radiator, looks like the seam between the plastic tank and Aluminum grid. Went on line found repairPal.com seems that this is a big problem with these radiators. I have 46000 miles on the truck, seeing the dealer tomorrow, hope they will cover this issue. You think that ford would have corrected this issue and replace these radiators with a all aluminum one.
