Anyone alone that can help me figure this out, I will ask for your PP
addy and offer a lil $. I am not a rich guy but . . .

1990 F250 SuperCab 4x4 90,000 miles, runs like new.

NOTE1- My hazards IN FRONT ONLY do not work.
NOTE1A- I see NO hazard lights on dash.
NOTE1B- I see NO turn signal lights on dash
NOTE2- My running lights IN FRONT do not work.
NOTE2A- Running lights work in the rear of truck.
NOTE3- I do NOT have running lights at the 7 Blade RV plug.
NOTE3A- All other 7 blade RV circuits are good.
NOTE4- All fuses under dash appear good.
NOTE5- I have a Tekonsha Voyager trailer brake controller. Works ok.
NOTE6- All headlights, brake lights, turn signals, interior and exterior dome lights work OK, I see the dash illumination lights coming on. The OverDrive "off" light works, ding dong when key is in works.

A headlight switch is cheap, I ordered one anew.

I soooo hate being ignorant and not knowing how to instantly fix anything.

With BOTH, left AND right running and hazard lights in the front not
working I "azz"umed a circuit problem. For the heck of it I pulled
both L & R amber bulbs AND BOTH HAD THE SAME FILAMENT BROKEN.

Everything now works EXCEPT the running light circuit for the 7 Blade RV plug, I suspect the Tekonsha Voyager Electric Trailer brake controller,
but what do I know.

BUT-SOME-HOW-EVER, Murphys Law was not done with me. During one
of the last start ups to test things the STARTER SOLENOID STUCK ON!
I bit the bullet and threw in a new starter and solenoid...

NEXT!

1990 F250 Running Lights and HAZARDS issues

I must elaborate so that those whom follow me with the same issues might be enlightened. . .

I ended up FINDING the ALL the problems, read on...

If you read the above you will see I "Azz"umed" I had a bad running light, and hazard light circuit, at the front of the truck, only. PLUS, the
RV 7 Blade Plug, its Running light blade, at the 10 Oclock position was DEAD.

TO clarify it is a 1990 F250 Supercab 460 Auto Air.

I was a fool. I "azz"humed that because I had a left and right, running and hazard light issue, at JUST the front of the truck, that I had an issue with a circuit. I WAS WRONG. On a whim I pulled the bulbs and unbelievable as it sounds, I had 2, like, bad filaments in those bulbs on the left, AND right sides!

Holy "You Should Have Looked @ The Bulbs Batman" moment was it indeed.

But again, what were the chances of that happening? Left and Right????

So both bulbs were replaced and now I have hazards AND running lights
working, up front, left, AND right, but still NO RUNNING LIGHTS AT THE 7 BLADE RV PLUG AT THE REAR.

PUNT!

Fast forward. . . .

I decided this thread was NOT worthy and I notified the mods / powers that be that I did not want to clog up this forum w/ clutter / junk and I suggested a full delete of the thread. . . was I so ever wrong, AGAIN!

The thread DID get deleted, BUTSOMEHOWEVER, one of the ever so vigilant and skilled mods looked at the deleted thread and sent me a PM with a couple helpful comments.

STOP THE PRESSES BATMAN...........

Those comments suggested that a low charge on the battery could be responsible for the solenoid contacts welding themselves together, thus causing the starter to run while the key was off!

Understand this truck sits a LOT and this could have been the scenario.
The truck has a lil over 90,000 miles I think.

So I replied to the mod whom suggested this, and in his reply he suggested this; ...snip " I know on the Superduty, I think there was arelay or two that needed to be installed to give the trailer plug all the powerit needed. " snip.

Well, This little comment was the icing on the cake, that comment got me to thinking about the relays on the DS, under the hood, on top of the LF wheel apron where
all the electrical plugs are, I realized there is a RELAY COVER / BOX that houses relays for TRAILER TOW and FUEL PUMP and EEC POWER . There is a light plastic cover, black and
under it are the relays I speak of.

My Relay box/cover is broken and just laying there, but I figured out which relay was what
AND I LABELED THEM for future use. Then I gingerly pried apart the TRAILER TOW relay plug and squirted in lube on all four sides and released the keeper and gently
started pulling and BAM! It pulled apart w/o breaking anything...

I got the P/N info off the relay TRAILER TOW relay and after several attempts I was able to cross-reference that particular relay to P/N R647 per Oreillys Auto Parts. I ordered it
up and Schzamm, all of a sudden the 10 O'clock position blade of the 7 Blade RV plug at the back of the truck came alive and now I have trailer running lights.

The OE P/N for the TRAILER TOW relay I believe is E3TB-13A025-A2A, just go with P/N R647
at Oreillys Auto Parts

Lessons learned?

Never assume that two LIKE illumination outages are a circuit problem,
just CHECK THE BULBS PHYSICALLY, NUMB-NUTZ....

and

NEVER FORGET ABOUT THOSE RELAYS UP FRONT, THEY DO GO BAD.

I Thank staff with a bow (insert a humble bow HERE) for looking past the BS and
finding the golden nuggets I spewed forth, and IN RETURN I was blessed with knowledge that provoked A RESOLVE.... ,
THANK YOU Gentlemen...
