Toyota Manual steering box upgrade?

Toyota Manual steering box upgrade?
Anybody go with the manual Toyota steering box as an upgrade to their F1?
I want to retain the stock column and 3 speed column shifter.
Just want slightly better ratio- and tighter steering- don't really want power steering.
Install tips?
Looking at the Classic Haulers/Mid Fifty stuff:
1948-64 Ford F-100 Toyota Box, Manual
1948-52 Ford F-100 4852 Toyota Steering Kit, For Stock Column, With Coupler

That mounting kit seems a bit pricey. Especially considering it's supposed to be a matter of creating a spacer bracket and a new pitman arm. I haven't done the swap yet, too many other, " I wants", in the way right now, but I do have the Toyota box waiting.
The reason I decided to go this route was because it was supposed to be so simple and straight forward.

I think mine is the toy box as I have the v-bracket that goes with it. I think that it had toy power steering on but the fellow that I bought from replaced it with manual don't know for sure but all power stuff was on engine and when I started checking things over the three bolts that hold the unit on were hand tight and this is from a person that sells a lot of this stuff. I have replaced all with series 400 from mid fifty so might get rid of the toy box and bracket and arm. I guess I need to look around the site and put it in the proper place.

I realize this thread is about using a Toyota manual steering box,........ but can anybody tell me if it is possible to use a power steering box, hoses from a '76 Toyota fj40 Landcruiser.....on a 51F1 with a flattie v8? I'd have to get another Pitman Arm and a pump etc, what else would I need......if it can be used.
Thanks for all and any answers.

The purpose of the 4x4 Toyota box from the '80's is that it fits through the hole in the frame, and makes for a simple swap. The earlier (and later), not so much. Plus the P.S. pump isn't a simple bolt-on to the flathead.
The best reason for using the Toyota swap is that it compliments a 302 cid swap nicely, without spending money on a whole 'nuther front suspension.
