about 1.5 yrs ago I was coming home from a short trip to town....I noticed a definite noisier engine, and my friend called me to say "your truck sounds louder"...sounded like a valve wanted to get out and walk...I parked it....now its time to figure this out...any help advice is appreciated....)

its a '95 F250 4x4 with 300K on the clock

Does it have the stock injectors?

 

Was it the engine got louder or the exhaust

 

I replaced the stock injectors with Rosewood stage 1's about 2 yrs ago...no chip...it was louder in the engine compartment...thanks guys!!!

Maybe your DP came loose or your up pipes!

Depending on what is it your hearing thats louder,
1. knocking noise? (Typical clack, clack, clack more than normal)
2. Hissing noise? (Ssssssss, sssssssss eveytime you get on it)
3. Exhaust leak noise? (Tstststststststststststs mostly noticible on any givin rpm)

 

Or DP is rubbing the firewall

hven't checked it, but new pump and bowl rebuild 3 years ago...thanks eh!!!!
