Post your Power Stroke MPG!

Okay I know this is brought up a bit over various forums on the internet, but I'm addicted to checking it out with every vehicle I have or potentially will get. Plus, I haven't seen a thread like this on the ford trucks forums yet. MPG doesn't affect if I'm going to get it or not by any means (otherwise I'd never have gotten a Bronco), but it's good to know what it is I can achieve and what others are getting!

I know having an engine that weighs as much as this man

isn't going to net the best MPG, but I've heard some good things! I haven't had a chance to get mine yet since I never actually drove with the engine before pulling it to work on it so I have no numbers.

So let's here it, what MPG are you getting average, and what's your best (and worst!)

Dang, that's worse than my 302 with 3.55 gearing and 33" tires! I bet having a dually and being a long bed doesn't help any! You probably need that for towing that huge 5th wheel in your sig though. I wouldn't be to excited to get that mpg once I swap the powerstroke into my Bronco, but I wouldn't regret it! As of now, my Bronco struggled just towing the F250 single cab long bed a mile from the mailboxes to my house! It could tow it, but wouldn't be very happy doing that for long.

About 20 MPG. That's light, cruise control set at 75MPH cruising along.

4.10 gears/automatic.

Used to be 20 @ 60 and 17 @ 75 before my work. Now, being a dually with 4.10's instead of 3.55's, pretty much the same as Glenn. Anywhere from 7-10 towing, maybe 14 empty (I really don't know on the empty as I never drive it without a trailer) I don't care though, I built it to tow, not for mileage.

When I have a heavy foot(wich is most of the time) i get 14 mixed 50/50. Highway mpg last time was 15.6 (engines went bad) best highway mpg 17.5) last time towing I got 11 mpg pulling this

First time with mods pulling this got 10mpg with mostly headwind.

All of these were with the mods in my sig.

Hey if he weighs as much as a powerstroke, then he has to have the potential energy stored up to be as powerful as one! I mean law of conservation of energy/mass right? That's how it works! I don't think his MPG would be very good though, his setup looks like it's probably aimed more towards power.

Hmm I'm thinking I should be able to pull slightly above 20 with my Bronco when the powerstroke is in so this should be exciting.

With 3.55, 5spd, 2wd regular cab truck, I'd get 20 on the highway pretty reliably...towing (on a mostly stock motor) would net anywhere from 8 to 15. Now that it's 4WD, I pretty much only tow or haul with it. I clocked it at 18 empty on one tank, one time. I'd hardly call that repeatable though.

That is a reasonable goal. I run 15-17 in town and 18-20 on the hwy depending on speed

8-10 towing. 13-15 mixed usage. I saw 17 once. Once. But I ah, tend to get aggressive. Lol. These trucks aren't made for mileage. I let it rip.

Highest out of my 97 ext cab long bed 2wd was 19.5 and lowest pulling a freestyle landing weighting 13k was 8mpg. My 73 4x4 manual best was 22 and worst towing was 11.
