97 7.3 f350 e40d help needed

hello so i have a ole powerstroke and my transmission was having problems after i just went through it.... pretty sure the torque converter lost its magic but when i went to test the pressure i broke the port off...

anywho i found a doner 95 transmission and im wondering if i can use all of the internals including valve body and whatnot from the 97 because it had aftermarket seperator plates and clutches looked new

also if theres any updates i should do please tell

im 23 and on a budget and really need to get this truck moving again so any help will be greatly appreciated

heres the beast that needs the work

I think you will have to use the solenoids from the 97 trans. Other then different electronics the 95 and 97 trans are the same.

Remove the screws holding the hub into the center support and press it out.

Yes you can with a torque converter dyno. A larger transmission rebuilder will have one.
