OT- Four post lift lighting
I went to Goodguys in Scottsdale earlier this month and saw a display for a four post lift and it had a lighting system on the rails and it made it like daylight under the car. It was was a nice system but it also had a $400.00 price tag. So, I did some hunting and came up with this off of Amazon for less than a $100.00 bucks and about two hours of time to install.
Here is the result.
If your interested in was I used, here is the list
1 of these
2 of these I also used a roll of 1/2" wide thin double stick tape to fasten the lights to the lift.

Is this a newer version of the "Emperor has no clothes"? I see the bottom of a Cobra on a lift, no where do I see the lights or how he mounted them. I know I am old but the lift gets blurry the farther towards the front you look and I have looked several times, can some one help with this, maybe more pictures Chuck. I really like the idea and beings my two post is outside I may be able to copy/modify to use in my situation. Thanks

The SMD 5050 are 3-times brighter than the 3528, however, with a double row...it's probably comparable...but you can use a smaller power supply. Since these are 12V, you could go solar w/battery too.
I've got a plan to use these SMD 5050 strips along the underside of all rafters on my next garage....

Maybe this will help clarify what I did. It'sjust a matter of laying down some double stick tape, laying out the lights and wiring up. Here are some more pictures.
From front
Power supply
From the rear
I could of used a smaller power supply but you never know I might want to decorate the lift for Christmas.
Mike are you going to Payson the end of April?

Here is kind of like the bonus round. I had a few feet of lights left over and got to thinking. The under hood of the 48 is like working in the black hole. I mounted about 3 feet of lights under the hood just behind the lip. I am about half done with the installation, need to finish wiring and put a switch and fuse in but this will sure help when I need to work on the old blue truck.
