Terrible experience at a shop in Raleigh, NC

Hey guys,
I need to share this, for my sake and for all of you.

Global Offroad and Diesel is a shop on Glenwood avenue in Raleigh, NC, and they are screwing me right now. I read good things about them/Jerry on this site and some others, but he does not warranty his work. You can find my complete story in my other thread.

But yeah...long story short, I had 8 injectors, head gaskets, studs, oil cooler, ball joints done at his shop to the tune of $6k. I was happy, he was happy. I drove off and 2 weeks later i had a ECT/EOT delta of 40 (ECT was a cool 192-196 and EOT was at avg 230 and actually max of 245). After reading on here, this is a telltale sign of improper flush. I called him and ask if he can take a look at the truck. He does, and he says he can't replicate it. I asked if he was taking it up and driving it for a while. He said "no, we are too busy". *edit* I actually offered to go and drive it around and bring it back to him when the engine is heating up and he replied with one word "no" followed by an awkward silence. So I said, "that's fine, I will leave it there for you so you have some time." 1 week later, I call again and he said "your EDGE CTS is wrong, we are getting completely different readings". let me clarify, I had to call him...if I hadn't my truck would have just been sitting there. Now...I don't see how it is possible for only the EOT to be read incorrectly by the EDGE. If you think "yeah..it's possible if the sensor is bad" sure! but he hooked up his scanner and read it through the same sensor! This is ridiculous. EVEN IF HE IS RIGHT, and the EOT is reading wrong (...yeah right), his service and his attitude has been horrible ever since I paid him for the $6000 service.

If anyone knows how to talk to him, or have experience, please chime in, because this is stupid. Sure, I can do the oil cooler change myself at this point, but why should I have to...? I just paid $6,300 for this work and I still have the work. It has been less than a month. I can't even drive my truck safely because I am staring at the temps more than I look at the daggon freakin roads.

Frustration coming out, but yeah. I don't know how to deal with this shop anymore, so I don't want you guys to have to go through any issues with them, and I also don't want them to get any business with 6.0 owners if this is how they treat me.

Sorry man. That's a lot of jack for repairs.

I'm not a diesel guy so can't comment on the issues.

Never used Global or known anyone that has so I can't help with that either.

No problem venting. I hope you find a resolution. Keep us posted and let's hope that you get it worked out.

Sorry to hear about the misfortune. I recommend writing a few negative reviews through out the internet particularly places like google and yelp. I also did a quick search of FTE and wasn't able to find the threads that gave this place good reviews. Do you mind linking it so I can go check it out here?

Feel free to vent!

Nothing can really substitute peace of mind. I sold it to a dealer and walked away with a 2016 2.7 EB screw Fx4.

Im not happy about my financial situation but I am starting fresh and with a positive attitude!

Skchoi2 if you want to jump in on the monthly dinner thread and see if any of the places and time are convenient. Sorry to hear about your trouble but, man what a nice truck you replaced it with.

I beleive the 2.7EB with 4x4 is offered with the 3.31 or the 3.73 gears. Not sure which one the FX4 package gives you though. Either one, gives you a pretty decent tow rating. 7,500 to 8,000 lbs respectively. These are from Ford using a Super Crew with a 5.5ft bed (145.0 in wheelbase).
