Best thing to do to a 302

I was wondering what you guys have done to your 302,I'm in the midst of upgrading my old 1987 f150 302 5.0L truck, and I just wanted some input as to what I should do to the engine. I am also gonna be driving it to NYC from MD (Yes I know MPG sucks). I already put a K&N intake and some new suspension parts.

How amy miles are on it?

302 are KNOWN to stretch timing chains. That would be where I would start on higher milage truck

An 87 302 never had much power to begin with, the best upgrades for your motor are cam and exhaust, if you're going in after the timing chain anyway you're only a couple intake gaskets away from the cam.

Vey much so. Just retard your timing 4* and see how much power you will loose.

With that said, 160k is not that much. Typically over 200 is where they tend to have problems
