There's a Sticky Thread right at the top of the first page of this forum called "READ FIRST: 48/60 Forum Tips, Tricks, How To's!" It has links to past threads with many of the most common discussions, including suspension, seats, etc. Many of those are somewhat hidden in a link in the first post of that, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...-articles.html

Here is a post from the FAQ on seats: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/6...ml#post5537364

I went with a 2008 Ford Ranger 60/40 split bench seat with a fold down arm rest and I like the fit and I do not even have to reupholster it. Bruce

Did you reuse the seat mounts or fab new mounts for the Ranger seat?

I have not mounted it yet. No doubt it will need new mount in the middle as the Range floor sloped upward the trans hump. It is 52" wide at the front edge so it clears the doors. Bruce

I used a 90 Ranger regular cab bench seat in my 49 F-1. With a little fabrication you can use the original 48-52 F-1 seat brackets. I cut about two inches off the original seat brackets to lean the seat back some. The back is thinner than the original which gives you a little more room at the steering wheel too. It also allows use of the original tool tray. Worked fine.

I used the middle bench seat from a full size 80's bronco, had to fab new mounts/mount frame.
