Blown head gasket

Hey guys I just picked up a 95 F350 cc lb with a 460. The previous owner said he blew the head gasket on his way home from school. He said he drove it about 10 miles then parked it. I picked it up for $900 thinking I got a great deal. When I got it home I pulled the dip stick and I think every bit of the coolant ended up in the oil pan in the short distance he drove it but he said it never over heated. Is it possible for all the coolant to end up in the oil pan with just a blown head gasket or am I looking at a cracked block as well? Also he said it's been sitting with all this coolant in the oil pan for a year and a half. Is this going to be a problem as well?

Thanks for your help guys.

Also I have a set of D0VE heads. Would I be able to swap them onto my 95 efi 460 since I'm going to be pulling them off anyways?

Ten miles with no coolant?
No telling what damage has been done.
Hopefully the leak didn't notch the block.
Is the engine free to turn over, or are the rings rusted into the bores?

Carbureted heads will fit the block but will not work with your intake, exhaust or valve covers.

I don't think it went 10 miles with no coolant. That's just when he noticed the white smoke. I haven't had a chance to see if the engine turns over or not. I figure even if it is locked up the $900 I paid for the truck was still worth it.

That's a bummer that the heads won't work. I guess I will have a set of D0VE heads for sale.

So I drained the oil and what came out looked like chocolate soft serve ice cream. I put my finger in it and it wouldn't even stick to my finger.

Do you guys thing that if I just changed the head gaskets and did a few back to back oil changes that it might clean out all that goo. Maybe use some deisel oil and maybe some sea foam to help clean it out.

Pressurize the cooling system and find the leak before you pull the head.
Have the head flattened at the machine shop and refit it.

If the milkshake hasn't killed any bearings, you only need to change the oil and run it at operating temp.
Nothing you mentioned is going to get the coolant out so just drive it.
