Just bought a 95 f250

So I just bought a 95 f250, Its got just under 125k on it. It was a plow truck that I bought from a guy at the westchester county airport. The guy said he lost an account and he didnt need it anymore, but who knows. Came with a 8 foot western plow with a bunch of new parts on it, new lines, new cyloniod. It also has 1 new gas tank, the other one looks pretty good as well. The truck drives well and shifts well, smooth on the highway no hard shifts. Only thing that was bad was that the oil pressure sending unit is no good so in the dash the dial doesnt move. Brakes feel good, when I looked at it today it looks like there's some antifreeze leaking slightly, looks like a loose hose tho but well see. Paid $3000. What do you guys think?

Should be OK. I would suggest jacking up the front and checking the suspension & steering bits out [ball joints, bearings, steering joints], as plowing tends to be hard on them.

Pretty good price for a truck with a plow. This is the time of year to be buying a plow truck.

You did ok. Plow trucks lost their value big time this year. It is a gas truck so no Great value

My brother just sold his 95 F350 7.5 5 speed 8' meyers pow truck for $1500

Looks like a decent deal as I have seen used plows alone sell for over a grand.

Just check to make sure the bones are good as she is showing a lot of rust near the wheel wells. A rusted through frame could turn a good deal into a terrible one really quickly.

Looks like you had a leaky brake fluid reservoir at one point, and probably a leaky seal on your axle pumpkin. Those lines might be oil cooler lines, but hard to tell. Do they come from the drivers side?

I would fix any leaks, and spray the whole underside with waste oil. That is the best short term treatment for former and current plow trucks.

So you're in CT? Looks like it has a new front tank and straps. It's interesting how the frame looks like it just has surface rust. It doesn't look too bad.
