Carpet with mass backing....worth it?
#19
Yeah that cleaned up nice.
Just for future readers. I did get the mass backing when doing the carpet in my crewcab. I figured it was cheap added insulation/noise deadener. Not sure if it helped. My truck was torn down for a long time. Also I don't have the doors finished off yet. Definitely makes the carpet feel more substantial.

3m spray adhesive works well. You only need it for the install. Heat and humidity over time will make the adhesive come undone again anyway.

I know I'm resurrecting a slightly older thread but... First of all, your carpet turned out great. How difficult is it to remove the seat and all the trim necessary to get the carpet out? Could you add some type of matt or something to reduce noise below the original carpet? Appreciate any help.
