52 ford f2 gauges not working

i cant get any of my gauges to work. speedometer works sometimes after about a mile. any suggestions. all the wiring looks good but i am not a mechanic. everything was switched from 6v to 12v and new feul tank but that gauge doesnt work either. oil gauges works i think and volt doesnt.

you may now have permanently not working gauges if they were hooked up to 12V. They all need a 6V reducer to work properly (with the exception of the batt charge which is inductive through the field loop). There's a couple of good threads on 12V conversions that go over this subject and opinions.
Speedo could be that the inner cable is either almost on it's way out, or just needs a good clean and lube. The cable housing comes off the back of your transmission on the passenger side by the parking brake assembly.

(probably looking in the wrong spot) also did you see my other question to you in a previous post

To find threads specifically about 48-56 trucks, you can't use the big "Search" box at the top of the screen. You have to use an Advanced Search, which is accessed by clicking on the smaller Search button on the bar across the top, which opens a drop-down box. Once you select Advanced Search, limit the search to the 48-56 forum, and type in "12v conversion".

There are hundreds of past threads on the subject, and hundreds more on "12v gauges" where the resistor/voltage reducers are discussed.
